CompuTrainer Rides at Donnie’s Indoor Cycling ExperienceFriday February 19, 2010 5:03PM
The CompuTrainer system is up and running, and ready for use! If you are looking for an alternative for indoor training until the weather breaks or you want to check your fitness by seeing your power numbers, the CompuTrainer is the way to go. We will be doing rides on Wednesday and Thursday nights starting at 6pm (so be there no later than 5:40pm) and will do roughly one hour rides after the 10 minute warm-up and calibration of the equipment. Then on the weekends, we will be meeting at 9am to start a ride by 9:30am for a little longer ride, around two hours. The location is the Roosevelt Community Center (RCC) at 1200 Minnie Ave, Davenport, IA 52802, which is off of S. Concord street just north of Sears Manufacturing.
Once at RCC, go in the north door that faces Homestead Ave, straight up the stairs and it is the first door on the left.
You will need to bring your bike, water or drink, and a towel. I do have fans to help regulate the temperature, but this is an old school building, so it has radiator heat that does not always shut off. The rides will cost $10 per person, per day, cash only please. Since there are only eight stations, I will also need to do registration. If the eight spots fill up, and we have enough for another ride, we will do so. Since I do not have regular classes, I will not go down if nobody responds…so no registration, no ride! You can e-mail me at bcycleracr@mchsi.com or call at 309-737-8270 and leave a voice mail if I do not pick up. To make it worth the time to go down to RCC, we will need at least four people. These rides will start Saturday February 20 and run through the end of March…or until most people want to go outside. So sign up now and we will see you at RCC.
These rides are for everyone at every level, so come and join in on the fun!
